Just got back from the quarterdeck in Arlington, VA for all you can eat crabs… mmmm….. One of the best places I have been for grabs in the VA/DC/MD area. love it. And, for some reason, I dig the shirts they have, but they do not have it in orange (boooo). I went with Fred, Eric, and Rachel.

So we tried to start off with a picture of the table while it was clean before the crabs were brought out.. Anyways… For like five photos it seemed, Fred’s left eye was all that showed of him. So in this picture he just stuck his head on the table.. lol..

Eric with Crab number one.

Fred starting crab one.. So focused.. like he is painting it.. lol..

Rachel with a knife, we all better watch out….Especially Eric.

My own photo.. Hrmmmm someone is sticking crabs in most of the photos.. Either that or they are telaporting dead crabs. That would not be a bad method of dispensing crabs.

The table after we all had started to clean up… The crew at the Quarterdeck are really quick at cleaning the crabs off the table. We had three trays of them.

The shells… Now that was some serious eating… mmmmm.

Eric is full.. So was everyone else.
On a serious note, the crabs are really under threat. We in the DC Metro need to do more to help save the bay from being demolished for our little tasty friends. The way I see it, I would be cool with a regional tax on all crab and oyster eating to help pay to maintain them. Sadly, we have to get three states (DC included) to help in the process. The result is it is hard to get them all to agree on how to fix/support it. You can make a difference by supporting the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
